8/8H AOTC!!! YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

We did it.

The group tonight was stellar. The 2nd attempt the runners were so fast that we only got 1 blood feast.

Our runners were a Warrior, DH (Tank), Warrior, DH (DPS), Monk (DPS1), Monk (DPS2). They were so fast. So fast!

We had to end up waiting for the 2nd blood feast and then dunking it. Another good adaption was just tanking the first blood feast add, plus not having any DPS do damage to it.

Overall the strategy is:

Phase 1 (Nothing matters but interrupts and the orb runners going fast)

The 3rd orb should go in just as, or before, the Blightspreader Tendril spawns.

Intermission:

Make sure no one gets hit by explosive corruption.

Phase 2 Start:

Still DPS is not important, just stay alive and avoid explosive corruption/the wave thing.

Before the 1st blood feast, you should have 5/6 orbs in already.

First blood feast should just be the tanks and the 6th runner. 1 tank should tank this add–ideally a Brewmaster, because stagger is broken. Feel free to use Fortifying Brew when you have both the add and G’huun.

Then the 6th runner goes up and, ideally if it’s a monk, can just self sustain (Vivify) and wait for the 2nd blood feast to spawn. Then they dunk.

Everyone should be in this 2nd blood feast except if you have explosive corruption.

Phase 2 6/6 Orbs (DPS SO IMPORTANT NOW):

Lust during the light beam. Everything AND the kitchen sink should be thrown. Everyone should have saved CDs for this lust phase. It is so important to get him to 24% or lower in this phase.

Phase 2 End:

Push him to collapse before the 3rd blood feast.

Intermission:

Survive the collapse.

Phase 3 Start:

Try to tank G’huun in the middle and do all of the mechanics. No big deal. Just stay 5 yards apart, do the dance, face away when fear is cast, and avoid grey orbs. Easier said than done of course, but if you enter phase 3 with everyone up, then you have a very good shot of killing the boss. It is of course an extremely hectic phase 3 and you just have to get there a couple of times so that people can practice the dance and fear.

Other notes: Flask, Vantus Rune, 1 pot for lust and of course a food buff. Disclaimer: I ran out of pots during the raid, so on the kill I did not have one. Also Boomkins do a lot of DPS in this fight. A lot. We ended the fight with 6-8 stacks of putrid blood.

A very fun fight, but not a fun fight to PUG. I am very glad we downed it tonight. I am skeptical if I will see another kill.
