We are at G’huun!

Today we managed to once again clear Zul. We stacked a whole bunch of rogues, but I think only 1 was Sub. Regardless, it worked out. The real hero of this fight was Goula, getting 50% of the Minion of Zul dispells. Thank you Goula, very cool. It was not a clean kill–5 deaths. But the killing attempt only took 3:14. So I stand by zerging it.

Mythrax. Bleh. Feels like such a long fight.  Took us 9 attempts to bring him down. The first 8 felt like people learning. However at least 2 of those pulls are on me. I failed to taunt my add in phase 2, wiping the raid once because I was trying to get someone out of an orb. Big mistake. The other time I made my co-tank take another Essence Shear. Also a dumb mistake, as you do not generate orbs if that happens. It would have been better for me to take it at 3x stacks and just take the orbs that came out. Some tricks to the fight for Monks is always take Ring of Peace. It’s one of the best tools for getting people out of orbs. Not a Monk-specific tip, but for Rogues they can Cloak of Shadows and take an Obliteration beam to the face to generate green orbs for the tanks if needed. Also I was not impressed with my DPS on Mythrax. I swapped to a tank trinket and was very careful about getting my green orbs instead of doing DPS. Regardless, we downed the boss and that’s what counts.

G’huun. We didn’t even get to try phase 2. We got to the intermission a couple of times but never to phase 2. It’s hard to PUG runners, as people get antsy and leave after 1 wipe. The mechanics of the fight also don’t lend itself to being PUG’d. Explosive Corruption chaining off of people is very cruel.

I have extended the lockout. I hope it pays off on Tuesday.
