BigPingers crushed it tonight. Or, rather, the PUGs we got were stellar in comparison to what I usually get. The key difference was that Spills assembled the raid, not me. We 1-shot Fetid, and 2-shot Vectis and Zek’voz. The fights really do not differ much from the normal encounter, so we had the mechanics down pat. Our first week of wiping to Vectis and managing an overtuned Omega Vector paid off.

We did not get many attempts at Zul, and our DK was slow on the death grips. But we were 3% from phase 2, which I think could have been a kill. The majority want to continue our attempts on Zul on Sunday. I expect 2.5 hours of wiping, to be perfectly honest. It really depends if we can get two death knights and stack rogues, which would be terrible for Mythrax.

I also have to say the druid healer we got was amazing. I still cannot believe I got away with an agility flask instead of a stamina one on Fetid Devourer.

Time for my favourite part: doing damage as a tank. From my mythic chest, this week I got a 375 Kul Tiran Cannonball runner to replace my 345 one. Honestly, still not impressed with it. On heroic Taloc it added 5%, and that impresses me, but on the other 4 fights it was 2-3%. I think if the boss moves at all, it really dimineshes the effectiveness of the cannon. Vectis of course has invulnerabilty phases that make it much less effective. My Azerite pieces have not changed, so again: Laser Matrix, Thunderous Blast and Filthy Transfusion are excellent picks. Depending on luck and the fight, they can add 3-5%.

I will have to look into seeing how to farm Kaja-fied Banana and Doom Shroom to see if it is at all viable to try and get a titanforged one. There seems to be no information at all on how to get one of a higher item level. One note I should mention is that the Darkmoon Deck: Fanthoms is crazy good for tank DPS. In fact it’s best in slot until your trinkets are iLvl 400. Too bad I am cheap at the moment.

In summary, I was very impressed with the raid tonight and I got a 370 weapon from Zek’voz, so 🙂
